Diz Swift, League of Women Voters California Climate Change Program Director and leader of the Steering Team for Price on Carbon for the League of Women Voters U. S., will be the lead presenter. She will describe the causes and projected rise of sea level and show slides of the impact of sea level rise for Northern California in the 21st century. In recognizing the urgency of taking action to slow and reverse climate change, she will talk about the League’s Policy on Climate Change, and how we can take action locally. “Climate change is a global issue, but that doesn’t mean we’re helpless. In fact, much of the solution will be what may seem like just small changes.
