<div style="font-size:14px" dir="ltr"><strong>300 California communities lack the basic human right to safe and affordable drinking water, and more than 1 million Californians are exposed to unsafe water each year.</strong> Some Californians have been without
safe drinking water for over a decade. Arsenic, nitrate, and other common water contaminants can cause
<strong>vomiting, respiratory illnesses, and cancer</strong>, and our children are often at particular risk. <br>

top priority this year is passage of Senate Bill 623</strong></a><span>, which will create a new Safe and Affordable Drinking Water Fund. The Fund will supply resources to make sure all California communities can afford to provide safe drinking water to their
residents.<br>

<strong>we need as many people as possible to contact their Assemblymembers to urge support for SB 623.</strong></a><br>
