<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: x-large;">THE SUMMER OF RESISTANCE TOUR CONTINUES!!</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">The Western Leg of the Summer of Resistance tour began on July 1st. I celebrated my birthday in Berkeley. I have now circled the sun 66 times! I feel great and it's a total joy seeing all my left coast friends. </span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">At Redwood Garden. Eliot Kenin, Amy Sue Berlin, Kendra Kinsey and I played for Peni Hall, Eleanor Walden, and many other friends and comrades.</span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Then on to the Monkey House with Chris Chandler!! YAY!!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">This is a totally wonderful venue that I hope to visit many times in the future. Great sound, stage, lights, Green Room - the whole schmear. Brian McWilliams and a half dozen or more of my Irish tour alumni showed up in fine fettle, and the Fontbonne Academy Class of 1968 was well-represented, as well as many cherished Bay Area fans and plenty of new faces!</span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">My journey to Mendocino started at the home of my gracious hosts, Shelley and Denny in San Mateo. That is one amazing, beautiful and challenging drive. Amy, Kendra Kinsey and I had a great time performing live on The Audible Feast on <a href="http://kzyx.org/ Richard">http://kzyx.org/ Richard</a> Karch did a great job promoting the show, and we had a great crowd at the Community Center of Mendocino. Suzanne and Chuck drove all the way from Laytonville to be there and it was utter joy to get an all-too-brief visit with them.</span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">On to Ashland for a show sponsored by Health Care for All Oregon. We had a near-capacity crowd and I got to spend a couple days with my terrific Ashland hosts, Mori and John. I have watched their boys, Max and Bronson grow up. </span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">From Ashland I went to Florence and had a great show at the Siuslaw Public Library. Amy an Kendra did a few numbers - they are just terrific.Stuart Henderson did a terrific job in organizing the event and it was a joy to see all my Florence hosts at the show, Diane, Ginnie, Ruth and this year's host-with-the-most Maggie!</span></p>
