Present: John Fremont, facilitator, Jinx Bridges, Irene Malone, Agnes Woolsey, Ann R. secretary, Bob Lane, Dan Baker stacker.

- Agnes reported Charter Project news. There are 10 places that Town Hall meetings will be held to inform communities. Walt McRee of the PBI will be in Boonville on Sat 2/27, in Elk 2/28. Norm DeValle and Doug McKenty will speak about being on the Commission.
The Sr Center will hold one 4/16 from 3-5. Paul Cienfieugos will be here for a month to speak at the Town Hall meetings.

- Irene encourages everyone to attend a MTA event at Frankie's Pizza 2/23 4pm which is featuring Millie Harmon as leader.

- 3/16 at 4pm there will be an opportunity to hear Patrick Pekin who is running for Judge in our County.

- 3/18 the LWV will have a candidate meetup in Caspar at 5pm.

- There will be a Women's Political Coalition meeting in Ukiah this month- John attended a Gang Awareness meeting with the police. Teen Court is now back and Judge Brennan will facilitate. The update on the jail in Fort Bragg is that the last financial
report issued was 86/87. We think using this jail for Coastal inmates makes sense...

- Daniel spoke about new Cannabis laws in Mendo County. What role should O/M play? Pot growers want to speak up on rules, fees, taxes etc. Jane Futcher has been doing radio shows on KZYX every other Thursday with issues and callers, check it out.

- Highway Cleanup needs to get better reporting from us about our involvement. Linda who lives in a blue house near our area has been contact but maybe we want to get more vocal. At the 3/5 meeting we will plan our next cleanup day.

- Mental Health update - the Kemper Report slammed Ortner and their lack of reporting, poor performance, overbilling, and slow actions when patients come to the crisis state. Only 3 people have been placed in facilities, and millions are flying out of Mendo
County to Yuba City with no results shown. The County Supes need to demand accountability, and their pick for head of HHSC will now have to be replaced, as Stacey Cryer was dismissed. Children's Services got a better report but there are serious problems
with child abuse and neglect and the foster programs for children.

- Hospitality House is up and running their Old Coast Hotel service center. It is a beautiful space, but there needs to be a community hospital for treatment, rehab and mental health care in our County, not outsourced to a private for-profit far away. Our
CEO and Supes pass the problem off but 3 new Supes can be elected next term. Up for re-election are Dan Gjerde, Carre Brown and John McCowan. Dan is the only one who pays attention to the issues.

- Sheila gave a report on the KZYX election coming up. Jeff Wright, Richard Miller and John Sackowitz are running but are controversial characters.

- Sheila reported on our Street Protests. She has a flip counter to keep track of how many honks we get, to encourage more honks.

Meeting adjourned 4pm. Next meeting is Sat 3/5/16.
