Barbara Moller, Jessie Lee, Sheila Dawn.<br>- Public Banking: Jessie, Robin Sunbeam, Agnes, Shari Shrapmire, Dan Hamburg and Dan Gjerde met and asked if the County could support funding for the PACE energy program, and were told that the County must wait for the results of a court case. Downgrading of MUNI Bonds by the FED is forcing cities across America into bankruptcy by forcing interest rates up. Shari says she is not yet ready to embrace Public Banking. Shari will give the two Credit Unions and Savings Bank each $250,000 for loans that are short-term. Mendocino County is set to divest from Occidental Petroleum, set to Frack Mendocino in 2015! <br> <br>- TPP: This secretive trade agreement gives Corporate control of our government, and would prohibit Public Banking! Send messages to Congress representatives, newspapers, and President Obama to oppose the TPP, by letter, phone call, e-mail or petitions. <br> <br>- Snowden: Agnes showed an article in the Oct Nation magazine that was 14 pages long, interview and story that had some really good advice and quotes. "Keep defending your civil rights or you will lose them." He pointed out that the Occupy movement was effective even though the police were allowed to brutally suppress, but getting equality into consciousness was the important message of Occupy. "We cannot steer the Country in the right direction with misinformation". Some folks are a putting sign in the window "I have a bed for Ed".<br> <br>- Banks fined more: 5 big global banks were fined $3.4 Billion for manipulation of foreign markets to ensure bank profits (Citibank, JP Morgan Chase, Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC, UBS). Meanwhile, the US Treasury department is fining JP Morgan Chase, BOA and Citigroup $950 Million more for failing to prevent misconduct in the foreign exchange market. Also, banks JP Morgan, BOA, Citigroup and Synchrony are being brought up on charges of violating federal Bankruptcy laws by refusing to discharge debts the courts dismiss in bankruptcy courts.<br> <br>- Monsanto GMO herbicide resistant wheat was found in Oregon, and it was never authorized to be on the market, so there was a $2.4 Million fine to Monsanto. The USDA says it was probably an isolated incident, but it caused a rejection of Oregon wheat from Japan, North Korea and the European Union.<br> <br>- Agnes sent us the resolution about Public Banks on email so we can read it and be informed enough to answer questions.<br> <br>- MLK Day: We agreed to take over from peace and Justice and do MLK which is 1/20/15 this year. We will vote 12/6 on the details.<br>- Mendo. Regenerative Center: There has been no activity yet as Justin Calvino is hard to catch and Sheila will find out when we can start.<br>- MCTV: The City hired a new operator who will do PEG, and said he will protect archived tapes and start showing them on channels 3, 63, 64. Terry Vaughn needs to be thanked (and paid?) for the taping he has done on MTV. The equipment and tapes are still in the Footlighter's building. The O/M Street Fair is on U-Tube.<br> <br>- Bob pledged to Free Speech TV and got a 4 CD set of the Oliver Stone documentary "The true History of the United States" and wants to show it to friends at his house, and to public at the Library or at KNYO radio station. Each part is a 3 hour program, we could ask for donations and make popcorn, if the public showing is okayed.<br>- Howard Ennes Memorial: The memorial is Dec 7th at 2pm at the Senior Center. The Occupy Singers will perform, and practice will be held at 980 Stewart Street for those who will sing. <br> <br>- Barbara Moller's update: There is no judgment yet. Sandy French is willing to have Barbara stay in the trailer in Lucerne at no rent. Sheila and Ann helped clean some, but an electric hookup is needed. Jessie suggests we have a fundraiser benefit. We need a written agreement from Sandy so the Judge will be informed. Tues we will go with Bob and tarp, clean, check things.
