Present: Dan, Agnes, Mark, Ann, Bob, Sheila, Barbara, Jessie
- Agnes praised Sheila for the article about Howard Ennes she wrote and then pestered the AVA and the Advocate to print. It was a timeline of O/M accomplishments and a obituary for Howard. Thanks to Howard for a generous donation to Occupy of $675. which will help us with some activities We are going after the meeting to get some books Howard wanted us to have from his collection. There will be a memorial to Howard at the Senior Center Sat Dec 7th at 2pm, with the Occupy Singers performing.

- Foreclosure update: Homes are still being foreclosed, but more commonly they are not getting approved for modifications of the existing loans, which makes it harder for housing security and fewer people are buying now.

- Fracking has an added hazard of the accidents increasing as more big trucks, semis, and related machines for fracking support are zooming around and causing 10% increase in accidents killing citizens. There are no rules for added inspections, regulations on how many hours drivers are on duty, safety rules. Problems are covered up quickly and no investigations are being done on the number of deaths. We need to find sources of statistics and do research before bringing it to a court. NPR is promoting fracking on PBS and CNN with conservatives buying ad packages that get inserted often.

- Elections: Red John of KNYO radio invited O/M to come election day. Have talking points ready if you are going on the air. By next election we need to find out about the Judges voting records. Agnes will go with an ironing board in front of the Mendo P.O. with a sign 'HAVE YOU VOTED'. There is a post election party on Fri 11/7 at Big River Beach from 5:30 to 9pm for Yes on S. Bring potluck dish, plates, drink, silverware, jacket.

- Asset stripping is a new ploy by banks. The FDIC and FED did a downgrade of the ratings of municipal bonds that helped cities improve infrastructure. Now it is harder for cities to make improvements, and the banks also have a new rule that will allow them to freeze assets in case of the derivitive bubble bursting. Robin Sunbeam and Agnes are working on a power point presentation to show Dan Gjerde, Dan Hamburg and Shari Shrapmire on Thursday. Then they will get on the agenda to show the entire BOS and get a Mendocino County resolution promoting Public Banking.

- Sheila had an idea about forging a pact with the big banks to help with homeless housing or shelters and we will stop protesting the banks if they are in a partnership. She has talked to Jennifer Owen who writes grants for the city about a matching fund opportunity and she loves the idea. If that happens, we can go to the Mendo Design Center on Fridays instead of street protests. We want to improve the way Banks handle their communities and let them know that we protest the Corporate bank policies, not the employees. Jessie found about San Diego building shelters with lots of services for the families who are struggling. The focus of programs should be on solving problems and not criminalizing homeless people. We can find out how other places solve the homeless problem.

- Barbara Moller's hearing had a good presentation from Barbara, and lots of us went to support her, but the Judge seemed hurried, and the Police hired a lawyer from Oakland who did not even listen to the tape of the original hearing in June, so he thought there was no provocation mentioned. The Judge still has not issued his decision, but it should be in by Wed 11/5. We think that the prior case precedent Barbara cited and the provocation evidence should be considered.

- Sandy French has a place in Lucerne where Barbara can stay temporarily when she gets Ben back. We will take Barbara to see it, and help with
cleanup, security, etc. Jeff Wright has also been targeted by Ft Bragg Police and harassed. Jeff gets confrontational and interrupts, but we would like to help him if we can as he is not being treated justly.

- Ann will help Sheila gather info on solutions to shelters, and find out how many homeless are working families.

- Navy Wargames are being expanded and a new EIS/EIR will come out in early December 2014. Most of the testing is being done in Puget Sound, but marine mammals all over the Oceans are affected.

Meeting adjouned at 4:10pm.
