I agree, Bart.  I think I did well. And it shook up the community and
brought the issue to the public eye.&nbsp; <br /><br />A few people got on
the monthly donation program.&nbsp; Many people randomly gave $100 here
and there.&nbsp; Lots of people gave smaller donations.&nbsp; And a few of
my old friends and relatives gave $1000's.&nbsp; Yes, I did pretty
well.&nbsp; <br /><br />And I have also spent money on gas and paid my son
to accompany me to erect and remove the big signs.&nbsp; Much thanks to
Jed for loan of the T-stake pounder.&nbsp; I still have tendonitis in my
shoulders from pounding them in with my sledge hammer.&nbsp; And thanks
for the loan of the T-stake remover, the best simple machine ever
invented!&nbsp; <br /><br />But I am on a very narrow budget, and can't
afford a $700 expense.&nbsp; It would just end up on my credit card at the
end of the year.&nbsp; Its not fair to make me pay for my service to the
community.&nbsp; Someone just gave me another $20 this morning.&nbsp;
Every little bit counts.&nbsp; <br /><br />And yes, pushing this fascist
boulder up the hill is easier work when we all work together.&nbsp; The AP
reporter asked me if running for office was fun?&nbsp; I replied that the
most fun was the collaborative process in which the whole team met and
decided things together.&nbsp; <br /><br />I can't sleep at night if I am
not doing everything within my power to make this world a better place for
our children. <em>Tikkun olam.&nbsp; </em>Its not a matter of hope.&nbsp;
its a matter of justice, restoring the balance.&nbsp; There is nothing
more important.&nbsp; Doing nothing would be bad karma.&nbsp; The sin of

<div>As far as raising money, sounds like you did pretty well. Anyone
running for office ends up paying out of their own pocket somewhat and
Robin you didn't end up with much personal expense and you should expect
some. <br />So much work to be done. Many issues that must be faced. Or
