The Supreme Court's decision last year to strike down a key part of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 critically undermined voting protections and could <b>make it harder to vote</b> for hundreds of thousands of voters in the next election. <b>This new, bipartisan legislation would fix that.</b><p style="margin-top:1em;margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:1em;margin-left:0px">
That's why <span class="aBn" tabindex="0" style="border-bottom-width:1px;border-bottom-style:dashed;border-bottom-color:rgb(204,204,204)"><span class="aQJ" style>this Thursday</span></span>, thousands of MoveOn members across the country, <b>including me</b>, will hand-deliver petitions to local congressional offices asking our elected officials to make voting rights a top priority by supporting the bill and fighting to strengthen it. Every member of Congress, including long-time champions, needs to hear from us, so they know we've got their backs in fighting to fix the Voting Rights Act this year.</p>
