Fellow anti-corporate personhood rights activist Ellen --

Please press the link below and sign this petition to Representative Jared Huffman.

Rep. Huffman is currently supporting HJR 25 in order to correct "the damage done by Citizen's United." HJR 25 proposes a constitutional amendment stating that campaign funds can be regulated by both States and Federal laws. It totally ignores the corporate personhood issue. Citizens United was only the culmination of a century of failed campaign finance regulations. If regulating campaign finance failed for over 100 years, what makes Rep. Huffman so eager to amend the Constitution with a proven failed policy?

Yet, the majority of Huffman's constituency in District 2 are strongly in favor of eliminating all corporate personhood rights under the Constitution. Conglomerates of capital (corporations) should have obligations and responsibilities according to states where they are chartered, but should NOT have inalienable human rights listed in the Constitution. Those are for natural persons only, NOT for artificial entities or fictional persons.

Let's remind Rep. Huffman what his constituency wants on the issue of corporations having the Free Speech right to spend unlimited money on campaigns and the Free Speech right to NOT SPEAK and overturn BGH and GMO labeling laws. Let him know that Corporations must NOT have Rights under the Constitution. Together, let's join our voices and tell Jared Huffman to cosponsor H.J.Res. 29, the We the People Amendment.
