During the PB Parade, the</div><div>SEIU Group was very effective, doing chanting. </div><div><br></div><div>Publicity: Poster making at Richard's before the parade.</div><div>Howard suggests Letters to Editor should go out on a regular basis, with</div><div>mention of OCCUPY Affiliation. Concerns should be brought before the assembly and then</div><div>we can write letters on a regular basis. OCCUPY has been ignored by our local press.</div><div>Outreach to SE:IU hs been successful. There has been fewer people attending our meetings.</div><div><br></div><div>Treasury Report: Sid reported that we have $125.00 and we still owe for seed money </div><div>which had been advanced for the Street Fair. We have expenses of $25.00 per month </div><div>for our website. We are close to bankrut now. Maybe we can go to a free website for a year.</div><div><br></div><div>Hats and T shirts haven't sold. We are broke after we pay bills. Mark suggests a Benefit Dinner at the </div><div>Senro Center. We now have friendlier members on the Senior Center Board.</div><div><br></div><div>Richard suggests a Fund Raising Committee be formed. Richard, Mark & Sheila will help.</div><div><br></div><div>Our local OM movement seems to be languishing and needs to re-energyze. </div><div>Bank vigils are important. Obama must win big, or our nation i in trouble.</div><div><br></div><div>Fighting Foreclosure: Linda reports: in Jan the Homeowners Bill of Rights will go into effect.</div><div>CJHolmes is working for a moratorium, at the end of the year. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac</div><div>need to be examined. CJHolmes has a Foreclosure website.</div><div><br></div><div>Rex Gressert brought news that the College of the Redwoods has lost its funding in our area.</div><div>C of R has lost its funding and accreditation in Eureka.</div><div><br></div><div>We closed our meeting citing the one year accomplishments:</div><div><br></div><div>Preventing foreclosures, appointees at Senior Center Board, creation of listserve and website,</div><div>getting on Facebook, Street Fair, T shirts & hats, alliance with SEIU (which has 200 members on the coast),</div><div>2 parades --- July 4 and (25 people @ Paul Bunyan), Bank Vigils, education on Nuclear Plants.</div><div><br></div><div>*****Agnes points out the persistance and strength of our powerful movement. She is expected to send</div><div>an addendum to these notes with additional achievements. She and Jesse went to the State Capitol Rally and</div><div>joined 300 other protestors to press for a 3 year moratorium on Foreclosures.</div><div><br></div><div>There was a lovely birthday party, with excellent refreshments and there were videos of the PB Parade.</div><div><br></div><div>Next Meeting will be Sat.
