Occupy Mendocino and the Global Occupy Movement want government of the people, by the people, and for the people—not of the corporations, by the lobbyists, and for the wealthy. We stand with those who have lost their homes, their jobs,
 their savings, retirements, pensions, and health care. We stand with those who struggle to put food on the table, and who now work more for much less. We stand with the elderly, the vulnerable, veterans, students, workers, and the planet for
environmental, economic, and political justice.
 
Dear Friend,
            We live in difficult times, it's true. To prevail over whatever is headed our way, we need to come together as neighbors, community members, citizens. 
           Occupy Mendocino hosts a May Day gathering and rally on May 1st. and has continued the work of the Peace and Justice Center by cleaning the highway near Caspar, every year for 40 years.
           On September 21 we will again host International  Peace Day.- this year honoring local activists, the Mendocino Parents for Peace,  In January we have our annual celebration of the life and Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.
