Thanks for talking the time to speak with me this morning.

We are working with Knock Every Door, Our Revolution, California Nurses
Association and Healthy California to canvass every Assembly District the
weekend of October 14 and 15. Might you be interested in participating as a
canvass host. As a canvass host we will ask you to help us identify a
meeting location, received the materials sent out by our operations team and
assist in recruiting canvassers.

Earlier this year, Democratic Speaker of the Assembly Anthony Rendon refused
to allow California Senate Bill 562, which would establish a system of
universal health coverage for all Californians, to advance in the state
Assembly.

But here's the truth: We're closer than we've ever been to passing
Medicare-for-All in California. SB 562 still has until the end of 2018 to
pass out of the Assembly. And while pharma and insurance company lobbyists
get to work mobilizing against universal care -- we're taking to the streets
and talking to voters.
