Deep Politics and the Death of JFK, by Peter Dale Scott reveals how
J Edgar Hoover, FBI Chief up until 1972 kept files in his office on high
profile politicians using it to blackmail them into decisions against their
best interest, such as the later revelation that JFK had bedded Marylin
Monroe,
which forced JFK to choose Johnson as his running mate against his stated
wishes
to his secretary before he left for the Demo Convention in 1959.

 Hoover cooperated with Organized Crime and so did the US Army Intelligence.
He also protected high mobsters from investigation nor arrest to protect his
sources.
JFK had made public his idea to withdraw 1,000 men from Vietnam in early
1964.
The war hawks were against this so the military had sent progress reports of
the war to V.P.Johnson which they kept from JFK. revealed in P.D. Scott's
book.

Jack Ruby had wide contacts with the crime world which was never investigated
 by the Warren Commission. The Dallas police were involved with criminal
activities  allowing Ruby access to the jail and Oswald whom he killed to
protect the lone gunman, reiterated by the Warren Commission as the
assassin of JFK.

The papers released recently in 2017 on JFK do not release information on the
FBI and the Army Intelligence.
In the Nixon Administration, in the break in to the Democratic
Headquarters in
Watergate Hotel where there was proof of organized Crime's control of Call
Girls
during JFK's administration.
This is pivotal to a necessary reopening to the investigation on the death
of JFK
