Tuesday 10.24.17 is an important meeting about Millpond cleanup, removal of dioxins that community asked for but Marie Jones wants to ignore and let GP ignore. We must object. Please attend and speak up for complete cleanup.

Thanks very much for sharing this. I will have to add myself to the city’s e-list distribution so I receive these notifications. I checked with Tom, and he is still working on preparing DTSC’s comments to the Feasibility Study. We will make sure to update you as well as the other commenters when we have done so. Sorry for the delays from our initial schedule, but Tom is making progress.

Hi Tom and Asha,

Please go the city’s link and read the agenda including resolution and the staff recommendation for the next Community Development meeting. I believe staff is misrepresenting where we are right now. Staff recommends that the council not endorse this resolution. This is a very bad move in my opinion, and allows all decision makers to ignore the serious remaining issues with the mill pond and it’s clean up. At the LCP Special Meeting last Monday every council member said they wanted a full cleanup of the mill pond. Staff seems to be saying “All is well. DTSC says everything is fine.” This is dangerous shoddy thinking and does not comport with our evolving situation. Our community has not heard DTSC’s response to G-P’s obviously inadequate Draft Feasibility Study. How could it possibly hurt us to have a clear statement of community desires?
