Present: Richard, Ann, John, Bob, Dan, Irene, (Sheila gone)

- Millsite Cleanup- Need to daylight creeks after cleanup - go to Joint Planning Commission and City Council meeting Thursday 3/23 6pm at City Hall. There will be walking tours Mon and Tues of Millsite to hear about daylighting creeks buried under culverts. People from DTSC and Arcadis contractors will be there. Public comment only 3 min, write comments and copy to all parties.  G/P has been reluctant to do a real good cleanup, we must insist!

- EPA being destroyed under Pruitt and Trump, but State Department of Toxic Substance Control has already been overseeing the job and G/P is mandated to do the cleanup.  They stalled, but now must finish the job to sell property.  They want the City to zone and sign off, but we must be certain that cleanup is thorough.

- Hare Creek project still a concern, but the EIR has not been submitted, and many people want the project moved to another site and save the Hare Creek Knoll.

- Recent visitor survey shows Fort Bragg is the most popular city in the County, people come here for the scenic beauty, unspoiled beaches, quaint historic town, to see the Ocean's majesty, special events like Whale Festival and Paul Bunyan Days, stay for 2-3 days and spend money.  They do not come to see a Grocery Outlet blocking the Ocean View.

- People Power event at the Senior Center was a huge success - 50 people came, we viewed telecast to 2,300 sites across the Nation with great participation.  Topics were: Health care, First amendment rights to free speech, immigration, income inequality causing homeless issues, militarization, private prisons, planned parenthood.  Send a letter to the editor of the paper about People Power event.

- KNYO Radio show proposed with people forming committees about issues: Irene- Latina Coalition, Cinco de Mayo, May Day. Ann- Library, Environment, Millsite and Hare Creek issues. John - police, prison conditions. Dan- Homeless inequities. Pat & Richard - Health Care.  We need to do youth outreach.

- Susan Nutter is sending out Mobilize Mendocino actions daily.  Lots more activism in the days of Trump!

- Richard wants to set up a new website OMPP at yahoo.com This will get and send People Power issues and get responses.

- KZYX is holding hearings about possible stolen money under the CFO, and there is an uproar between John Sakowitz and Scott Peterson. Sad to say Trump's budget now defunds Public radio and television shows.

- Sat April 22 is Earth Day March for Science.  10am meet and march to the Food Forest at Noyo High School garden.  O/M table?  Irene will contact director.

- We can discuss May Day and Cinco de Mayo events next meeting.

- Library is planning an expansion.  The Friend's group bought the lot behind the Library, will pay off a loan and clear the land for a parking lot and expansion of the current building.  More room for books, programs, etc.  County will accept the building and grounds and maintain with services.  There is a bookstore down at the Harbor, ads in Whale Festival news.

- Trump fired the Judges who were investigation his administration for corruption in the Russian hacking of the election, Prices' corruption on money laundering, the scandal with his National Security Advisor being a double agent for Turkey, and more.
