Dear O/M gang, Today I came to the Sr. Center to verify that they will have a screen and wi-fi set up for tomorrow, and found that the wrong date was booked! They had Wed Mar 15th in the book, so I had them fix it and tried to call John, asked his son to take a message but he said he couldn't get up. So I booked tomorrow for the big room, asked they have a screen available, and I've passed out flyers, got some refreshments, have the key and will be here to help set up tomorrow (Sat 11th) at 1pm. We expect attendees at 1:30. John, if you want to call me my cell # is 813-0418. Richard, you can bring your laptop to project the event on the big screen. Hope to see you all tomorrow. Ann

Subject: Update about your ACLU People Power livestream event

There are now over 2,000 people hosting ACLU Resistance Training livestream events – it’s going to be huge!

[People Power | ACLU]

Dear John:

Thank you for signing up to host a People Power Action Event on Saturday. There are now over 2,000 people hosting ACLU Resistance Training livestream events – it’s going to be huge!

Here’s the most important thing in this email: We just released a minute-by-minute agenda for your event. It includes must-read instructions for what to do after the livestream ends. Click here to read it.<https://go.peoplepower.org/go/37?t=1&akid=1599.31391.AJ74tH>

The new materials also include a sneak peek at the content of the livestream and next steps coming out of Saturday’s events – so don’t miss it.

In addition to reading the minute-by-minute agenda, here are some simple steps to make sure your event goes well:

1. Print out the handouts and sign in sheets listed in minute-by-minute agenda ahead of time.

2. Read the People Power host guide.<https://go.peoplepower.org/go/27?t=2&akid=1599.31391.AJ74tH> It covers everything you need to know, from what materials you need to how to recruit for your event.

3. Log in here to manage your event.<https://go.peoplepower.org/event/launch-create/tools/?i=l.1489077321.2592000.31391.4XCh11&t=3&akid=1599.31391.AJ74tH> You can edit your event description, add directions to your event, and update the location if there’s been a change of plans. You can also email your guests with last minute details, or just send them a simple reminder to attend. (Need help managing your event? Check out our guide here<https://go.peoplepower.org/go/24?t=4&akid=1599.31391.AJ74tH>.)

4. We highly recommend checking your tech setup before the event. This is the best way to avoid last-minute tech problems during your event. Watching any online video will work to test your wifi, screen and speakers – try one from the ACLU’s YouTube page<https://go.peoplepower.org/go/25?t=5&akid=1599.31391.AJ74tH>. If you have technical trouble connecting your computer to a TV or projector, start by reading this guide<https://go.peoplepower.org/go/38?t=6&akid=1599.31391.AJ74tH> and reading this article<https://go.peoplepower.org/go/26?t=7&akid=1599.31391.AJ74tH>.

5. If you have any questions at all, reply to this email or email us at info at peoplepower.org<mailto:info at peoplepower.org>. We have a team of volunteers standing by to answer your questions.

Thanks for everything that you do.
