Present: John, Daniel, Will B, Irene, Bob, Sheila, Ann, Richard

- May Day event Mon 5/1/17.  Fees in Parks will be waived for Non-Profits according to Linda Ruffing per the last City Council Meeting at Town Hall.  Ann will confirm this with the City, and also has checked with Trinity Church in case we want to use that location as a starting point instead.    Will can do some posters and flyers.  Will wants us to get Rachel and Neil make us some buttons for the event, possibly a fundraiser as the cost to us is $1 and we can ask $2 donation.  There will be a March, music(?), we discussed a Maypole, Union members, SEIU, Nurse and Teachers Unions, workers rights.  More can be planned next meeting.

- People Power presentation at Sr. Center put on by ACLU next Sat. 3/11/17 from 2-4 pm.  Richard will ask about tech setup so we can have filming, board for presentation.  Ann will bring refreshments - Chips and Salsa, Hummis, cheese and crackers and juice. Will Beaumont is making posters for publicity, they will be ready to pick up at Mendo Litho by Tuesday next week. We're organizing grassroots volunteers to fight against the worst abuses of the Trump administration.



- Mendo Tea Party - Next Sunday at Evergreen Methodist Church on Laurel St  from 2-5pm, a postcard-writing event where you can write to all your representatives from Pres. Trump to Senators, Congressmen, House Representatives, etc.

- We discussed Housing in Ft Bragg. Low income housing is needed, Sheila suggested a Hostel.  The Grey Whale Inn has become an Elderhostel according to John.  There are so many empty bldgs. in downtown Ft Bragg - could anything be used?

- Anne Feeney is a folk singer that will be coming near here soon, and Richard will write her and ask if she could come to our MayDay event on 5/1 in Ft Bragg.

- We put off Hwy Cleanup until late March, due to much rain.

- Monday 3/6 at 6pm there will be a KZYX Board Meeting at the Sr Center in Ft Bragg.

- Some of us are so sure Trump will get impeached we started a lottery...

- Next Meeting 3/18/17 2-4 Sr. Center.
