Over the past six years, the Democratic Party establishment has lost the presidential election, both houses of Congress, and hundreds of seats in state legislatures. 

Now, the Democratic Party establishment wants to use the same losing formula of moderation and status quo politics in 2018. When asked, the Democratic congressman in charge of creating the party’s message for 2018 recently said, “That message is being worked on.” If left to their own devices, establishment Democrats are going to run on a stale agenda created by wealthy donors and out-of-touch consultants. 

We have a historic opportunity to take back Congress and get rid of Trump. But the Democrats need to run on a bold, popular agenda that will provide the American people what they need to thrive: healthcare, education, jobs and safety. 

That's why we’re joining with our allies to push House Democrats to cosponsor a #PeoplesPlatform. The platform calls for Medicare for All, tuition-free college, an end to private prisons, a $15 national minimum wage, a tax on Wall Street, and a clean energy economy.
