[Occupymendocino] Cleanup issues at G/P Millsite

Dear Tom,

I was just informed this morning that the truckloads of uncovered material from the Millsite are not the contents of the toxic Millpond, but are from the connection of the two segments of the Coastal Trail. I think it is a bad idea to connect the Trail before the Ponds and Dioxins are removed, but there was an issue with the Grant the City has to use immediately so they don't lose the funds, because they took so long to complete the project. I am on the list of people who want to be contacted by the City of any information on their projects, but they waited until this morning to send out the news. I am sorry if my concern seemed like it was unfounded. They will start to remove the toxic sludge and dioxin soils on the 28th of this month, but just now revealed that information. If I observe any uncovered trucks after the 28th I will inform you, as I guess that both the Coastal Trail connection and the removal of toxins will take place simultaneously. That makes it more difficult it would seem, but that is what our City decided. Sorry for the false alarm.

Thank you for your concern about our Community, I love Fort Bragg and want to see a clean, healthy and thriving outcome from this process.

Sincerely, Ann Rennacker
