Hello, my name is Tammy Davis and I live near Caspar on the Mendo Coast. I'm not sure if this fits in somehow with your project, but I am interested in finding people in my community who would like to be part of a multi-generational eco-village that functions by way of a gift economy. There are a number of model projects out there in various forms and that number is growing. One of the main objectives to this local endeavor is that it be all inclusive - with emphasis on offering obtainable housing for those with the greatest need.
If anyone is interested in discussing the opportunities that are possible in such a project, or if you know someone who might be, please let me know.

If people are identified who will share their stories, we would be honored

Hey everyone,

Building on the energy from yesterday, we at Justice in Aging are starting

work on a video that will tell a compelling story about how difficult it is

for seniors in the Bay Area to survive on SSI.  We are looking for help

identifying seniors on SSI/SSP who may be willing to share their stories,

especially anyone who is homeless now or has faced homelessness in the

past.  We would like to shoot stories in the first week of February.

We will debut the video at an event in SF we will be holding in early

April where we will also be honoring Assemblymember Thurmond with the

Justice in Aging Impact Award. We hope those of you in the Bay Area will be

able to join us and we’ll be sending more info soon.  The event is our

annual CA fundraiser which will focus on the need for us to act now to

address senior poverty in the Bay Area, California and nationally.  The

video will be about the issue of SSI/SSP and the need to do more to improve

the program, not a promotion of our work.  We hope it will be something we

can use all through the Spring and Summer to assist the coalition efforts

to educate folks and to push for change.
