 a cause near and dear to my heart - PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD TO STOP
USA SANCTIONS AGAINST VENEZUELA -  worst/stupidest thing we could do
would be to let Obama declare Venezuela a threat to our security - when,
in fact WE are the biggest threat to theirs.

I was there in 2013 for Maduro's election, and it was much more secure and
honest, and better attended - as Jimmy  Carter has said -  than any of our
elections - and Maduro won by a much more honest majority than did Bush
JR.in '00,  and yet Kerry said it was not fair or honest. Chavez and
Maduro's biggest sin is that they believe oil profits should stay home to
help the Venezuelan poor, rather than going into the hands of the USA and
Venezuelan oligarchies.

As one Venezuelan official said to me: "We believe in capitalism for the
rich and socialism for the poor;  and you act on capitalism for the poor
and socialism for the rich."   And so we do - all those tax breaks for the
1% are socialism for the rich, darn it - I say so as I write that check
for way too big a tax bite......I'm sure I'm with Buffet's secretary -
paying more than Warren.  And the rich are doing very well in Venezuela,
thank you - and they are the source of Maduro's woes, with the help of the
US whivh they've enlisted.
