[Occupymendocino] International Peace Day

Hi Occupy Mendocino, 

It has almost been a year since Howard Ennes died on Sept 22, 2014. After his memorial some of us discussed an idea to celebrate and remember him by having a special ceremony. Because Howard was such a big supporter of the Senior Center I talked to Charles Bush about a tree planting there ... Chuck liked the idea and gave permission. 

It turns out  that  Monday Sept 21 is The International Day of Peace celebrated world wide.

if OM is supportive of the idea, I'd like to form a small committee of OM folks to discuss and work on having a Peace Day Event on Sept 21, 2015... 
Plant a tree, maybe give an award to a local peace 'hero'.

PS:  I know Howard would be very supportive of a Peace Day and maybe some of the funds he donated to OM could help pay for it.
