[Occupymendocino] O/M minutes 2/21/2015

Present: Sheila, Bobn, Dan, Linda, Irene, Ann

- MCN Web account is paid, but they want a contact person to be available to interact with.  The person does not have to be a MCN account holder.  Dan will be the go-to man.
- P&J Money - Zac wants ti transfer $ but who will sign?  Sheila will talk to Mendo/Lake Credit Union and will also speak to CalTrans about doing the Highway cleanup around Caspar.  They will provide bags, gloves, garbage pickers, and safety vests.  We need to pick a day and go out every other week for a few hours.  Ann will help.
- Process -  The process for getting reimbursement for money paid out is to discuss it first at a meeting and get approval, not to spend money then go on e-mail to get approval.  No money will be paid out of treasury unless decision is made by a vote at a meeting.  Irene spent $221 for pizza and a movie for the Freedom singers, and $60 was donated by individuals, so O/M will cover the cost of $100 to repay Irene.  Bob's expenses for helping Barbara settle in Lake Co were $60 for gas, which O/M will cover.  If Barbara is able to repay Bob, he will reimburse Occupy. 
- Break in meetings- Sheila suggests we have a regular meeting on March 7th but skip the 3/21 as it is Whale Festival in Ft Bragg and people are busy.  We will resume regular meetings 2 times a month in April.
- New editor of Advocate-News has already quit.  She covered MLK and posted good pictures, so we hope they hire another good editor soon.
- Ali Boecker having a meeting/potluck on Community Rights trip to meet with Paul Cienfuegos and his activists in Minnesota recently.  It is Sun 2/22 at her Simpson Road house 3pm and she will give us a CRNMC update.
 - Discounting T-shirts and Hats- Sheila wants to cut the prices of our items, as Shirts are $15 ea or 2/$25 and hats $15.  Richard and Ann are against discounting them until we can have a flea market sale or a yard sale.  We will see if Stan Miklose will put them on consignment in Down Home Foods.  We will discuss this again in April.
-RDC in Mendo- We have been waiting to take space in the RDC but Justin has been hard to contact, but Sheila will find out if we can have our 99 cent sale in April.  There is a little alley there where we might have a good turnout.
- Street Protest- Sheila wants to count honks and keep track of how many people we interact with on the street. Richard or Dan can put info on our O/M Facebook page.
