Dear OM friends,
     Since I wont be at the next 2/21 meeting I am sending you an intro to
the words of Bill McKibben:
 " there is a tendency at every important, but difficult crossroad to
pretend that it's not really there."
  I urge you to look in Wikipedia for Bill McKibben, author, educator and
environmentalist Bill McKibben's speech "Just Do the Math" published in
the Rolling Stones 2012 magazine.
    He's written extensively on Global Warming and is the
recipient of the Schumann Distinguished Scholar at Middlebury College.
He's  the leader of the anti-carbon campaign group 350.org, and led the
campaign against the Keystone XL Pipeline and spent 3 days in jail in
D.C. with hundreds of other activists.It was the largest civil
disobedience action in the U.S. in decades. He also convened the Global
Day against fossil fuels at which some of you attended in Caspar.
