Hey folks,

I just got the word on Lindy Peters from someone who has lived here a lot longer than I have. What he told me is down at the bottom of this email. He made a vague reference to being in favor of "mining the ocean for minerals" at the candidate forum. So any folks who live around the Fort Bragg or have friends here, please get the word out. I understand he was on the city council in the past and is popular around Fort Bragg so we've got our work cut out for us.

Hey Ed,

I think you need to get word out to the Fort Bragg community ASAP what Lindy Peters position on offshore drilling/fracking so he doesn't get elected.  He is a strange and shady guy, and always has been, involved in local politics as Jere Melo's right wing, right-hand man forever.  Pro-timber rip-off, pro cop, pro-devlopment, pro-big money, a anti whatever seems good and decent - consistently.  Bought off (probably) and proud of it, and a blow-hard bully.

Good luck.  We don't even live inb the FB city limits and so can't even vote on the City Council candidates.  are you within the city limits.  Better hope he doesn't get in.  He's got a big, well produced ad at the local movie theatre, and as you know is a loud-mouth DJ at the SKUNK radio station, as well as a regular commentator/contributor/on-air personality at Mendocino TV.  He's everywhere! - and will probably get elected.
