Present: Bob Lane, Jessie, Sheila Dawn, Mark, Barbara Moller, Ann, Daniel Baker

- Barbara Moller went to see her dog Ben at the Ukiah Animal Care, and was told she cannot ever visit him again. Her court hearing is on Oct 23 at 1:15, and Ann and others will attend to support her. She really needs a place to live and a newer vehicle in order to get Ben back.

- Public Banking: municipal bonds were downgraded in the U.S. by the FED. The strict restrictions on States stops money for schools, water, improvements, etc as of Sept 9th. Public Banks would alleviate this problem. There will be a meeting with Supervisors Dan H and Dan G and the CEO on 10/17. Sheila wants to go to Wells Fargo and Chase Banks to get their response. Then there will be messages sent to Steve Scalomini and the F.B. City Council and the Pt. Arena City Council so that we can get all Mendocino County cities on board.

- Sheila, Bob and Daniel will go to do a radio spot on KNYO on Tuesday 10/7thto promote O/M and play some Occupy songs.

- Regenerative Design Center: We can have a presence in the space in Mendocino, which has tables, desks, a computer and wi-fi, and needs staffing. Sheila wants to get a key and a list of the days we can be there, and we will take turns staffing. We can show movies, attract young people and latinos, and offer our literature and OccuCards, Shirts and hats, etc. We can start having one meeting a month in Ft Bragg and one in Mendocino. We still are very active and want to reach out to new faces.

- Voter registration drives are needed until October 20th. We need to set the days to table in Fb and Mendocino. Ann and Bob will stand in front of Harvest Market on 10/8, 10% off day. People who agreed to sign up or pass out registration forms are Sheila, Barbara, Ann, Bob and Daniel.

- There was a Democratic Club meeting which was an exciting, good networking event and had some young people and some young hispanics attending. The next meeting is at the Harbor Lite Lodge on Oct 16th at 5:30. Bring issues to present to the group.

- City Council election: There is a heated contest with 5 people running and lots of election signs are all over town. Only folks who live inside the City limits can vote, but we can all talk to people about the issues being represented. Dave Turner wants a Marine Science program at the college. Lindy Peters wants to put a desalinazation plant on the Millsite land, and wants to do Ocean Mining, both programs opposed by Ocean Protection Coalition. There is a Grand Jury complaint against Peters. Dave Cimolino worked for the City and wants to get rid of the "liberal women" at the City Hall. Heidi Kraut is a good Council member now, though she did little to save MCTV (nor did Turner) and now there is an outfit in Ukiah taking over the PEG broadcasting and getting the ComCast money, but will they come to Ft Bragg to broadcast board meetings, etc??

- FB Police: Chief Mayberry is not coming back to the FB Police Dept, he is now working for the DA as the Coast and Inland Investigator, and will go to court in Ft Bragg so that more cases can be heard on the Coast instead of all going to Ukiah. It seems to be a good solution to the issue of saving Mayberry from moving out of the area, while releaving the personnel problems he had with the City Manager.

- The "Yes on S" campaign is in full swing, with lots of yard signs, posters, Roadshows with Paul Cienfuegos, and potlucks and events happening in every community of the County. There is a big push to the November election, but it is exciting that no opposition to Measure S has gone on the ballot and we are just starting to hear some "fracking is safe" propaganda from the other side.

Meeting adjourned at 4:05pm.
