[Occupymendocino] Man Lost Home to Foreclosure

On the Announce Listserve:

A man I met today has lost his beautiful home to foreclosure and has 30 to
90 days to vacate.  (His artist wife of 45 years died of cancer.)  This
house is full of homey treasures. I had followed a home made moving sign
and was told to just look around.

I did not want to take advantage of someone who seemed overwhelmed. I
asked if he needed help and he gave me his name and number and then
followed me to my car and gave me a book his wife had written. I'm reaching
out to the community to see if there are volunteers to help or if there is
an organization who can help handle the sale. Nothing is priced and I'm not
sure he has started packing.

He has been feeding many cats who have been spade and will also need homes.
