Announcement of May 22nd Community Workshop at Town Hall: An update on
what progress in clean-uo of
toxic waste on the G.P. Millsite. the City owns 90 acres which is clean.
Discussion of content for the Grand Jury Complaint re the trial of
Elizabeth Swenson vs. the Footlighters.
Be sure to include involvement of City of Fort Bragg and County funds
invested in equipment.
The City of F.B. had partial ownership of MCTV equipment and did not
intervene in the trial until after the decision.
Dan Gjerde,Ann Renneker,Ric Martin and Jane Vartanian were on the MCTV
Board and should be on the complaint form
with contact information: danhjerde at netscape.net,ann at live.com,
ricmartin at mcn.org, teacheng at comcast.net
The Judge Jeanine Nadel decided the trial in favor of the Footlighters and
against Elizabeth Swenson with fines and
lawyer's fees of $40,000 and $36,000 was considered back rent.
Elizabeth had paid property taxes on the building believing the
Footlighters had transfered the property to MCTV.
No allowance was made for E.Swensons' investments in the building repairs
either.
Judge Jeanine Nadel had a conflict of interest and should have recused
herself due to the fact
that she had been county counsel at the time the county made the contract
for MCTV to tape FBCC meetings.
Then she complained that the contract was invalid due to the wrong type of
deed used to transfer the property to MCTV.
Due to the gag order placed by Attorney Rubricht Elizabeth Swenson was
not allowed to testify about funds
spent placing French Drains under the ground to remedy the water damage to
the Footlighter Theatre,
and to remove mold caused by water damage to the whole building, and
property taxes paid by Swenson.
I hope this information helps members to fill out Complaint forms and send
them to the address at top of the form.
Respectfully submitted: Agnes Woolsey
