Occupy Mendocino General Assembly notes for may 3,2014
Eight Occupiers in attendance.Linda facilitated the meeting.
Discussion of time of Friday Street demonstration by the 3:00 at
Wells-Fargo And at 4:00pm at J.P. Morgan Chase Banks.
Report on progress of Robin Sunbeam's campaign and announcement of her
next Campaign support meeting May 4th.
Members were invited to the First Sunday of the month Breakfast at the
F.B. Grange in Inglenook.
Mark, Ginney, Sheila,Carrie, Sue Boeker, Agnes and Keith attended
while Robin Sunbeam spoke to individuals
and handed out Literature for her campaign in the Grange Foyer with help
from Sheila and Agnes.
Ann and Sheila have done tabling at the P.O. and Down Home Foods for Robin
Sunbeam.
They also got signatures for the petition to get a Mendocino County
Charter on the ballot.
Agnes and Sheila gave out literature for Sunbeam for 2 days at the
Mendocino P.O.
The Community Rights Network has submitted an amended proposed ordinance
to protect water against fracking.
CRNMC has a Facebook page. Robin Sunbeam also has a Facebook page which
voters may access.
The Fort Bragg City Council have put the videotaping of city Council
Meetings out for bids.Earl Oliver is interested.
Members were urged to watch the Council Agendas for Earl Oliver and
Elizabeth . Ann volunteered to do this.
Members were urged to google Complaint forms for the Mendocino Grand Jury,
fill them out and send them re the flaws in the
trial of Elizabeth Swenson vs the Limelighters Theatre Board of Directors.
Discussion of the Goodbye to the local Bank of America Party on the Street
Friday May 30th which is their last day in town.
A unanimous vote for printed party invitations to invite the public was
passed. Sheila and others will make pies for guests.
The big Banner and signs would be welcome stating NO TO BIG BANKS or KEEP
OUR MONEY LOCAL. or Goodbye B. of A.
and a note to ask Robin to send invitations to Occupy Ukiah.
Discussion of the Desmond Tutu Campaign for Divestment from Oil and Gas
companies and transition to an economy of Renewables.
We urge Tom Wodedtski to do a program on Corporations and Democracy
devoted to Climate Change and
Occupy was urged to listen to KZYX 1:00 pm Tuesday for a report on the
Berkeley divestment campaign.
Discussion of Student Debt Occucards, voter registration forms for
students. Investigate date of poetry slam at the Grind.
Richard's poetry in the occupy songs could be read during the Poetry slam
with permission.
Discussion of order for Student Debt Occucards to be handed out at the
Graduation at Cotton Auditorium.

The Graduation of 48 college students was May 16 and Agnes handed out
Student Debt Occucards to eager students.
