CALL TO ACTION

We learned on Wednesday that the College of the Redwoods administration plans to eliminate 3 of the 4 remaining full-time faculty members of our local College of the Redwoods campus. Only the woodworking instructor would remain full-time. Clearly this is a crushing blow to our campus as we have known it. If you believe a fully functioning community college is essential to our community, please let the college administration know how you feel about this.  There is a board meeting this Saturday, January 18th, at 10 am in Eureka at which you can make public comment during the first few minutes of the meeting. Also on the agenda is a discussion of CR?s ?next 50 years.?  Public comment can also be made when that agenda item is addressed, probably around noon. No official action will be taken at this meeting. If you can attend the meeting in Eureka, please do so.  If not, please write to all of the CR trustees:
