[Occupymendocino] Stop the overuse of antibiotics now!

Hey Folks,

I just demanded emergency action from Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Secretary Tom Vilsak to stop the overuse of antibiotics and slow the spread of resistant bacteria in our communities. You can join me in taking action by going to Consumers Union's website and send your own message.

The Centers for Disease Control released its superbug Threat Report in September,2013. Read the summary and go deeper here.

Frontline just ran the first in its two part series on the threat of drug resistance: Watch "Hunting the Nightmare Bacteria."  Then read NPR's interview with the lead reporter and this interview with an international medical expert on the special problem of MDN1.
