Mark: read letter below from Redwood Coast Senior Center board member Gin Kremen.

THERE IS A BOARD MEETING FRIDAY.  THAT IS OUR REGULAR "LAST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH" BOARD MEETING.  NO SURPRISES THERE.  

PER ANN RENNACKER'S SALARY STATEMENT:  THE PAYROLL IS $30,000 A MONTH.    I ASSUME SHE UNDERSTANDS THAT.  CHARLES GAVE BACK PART OF HIS SALARY THE FIRST YEAR HE WAS E.D.  THIS HAS NOT CONTINUED.  (DID SHE UNDERSTAND THAT $30,000 TO BE FOR THE YEAR?)

PRESIDENT DID NOT SAY "OCCUPY WILL NOT MEET HERE AGAIN".  THAT IS TOTAL BULL%&*#.  I WAS THERE UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE.  THIS IS NOT ABOUT OCCUPY.   THE PRESIDENT TAKES A LOT OF FLACK THAT SHE DOES NOT DESERVE (AND HAS RECEIVED DEATH THREATS).  SHE, AND THE BOARD, BELIEVE THAT OCCUPY SHOULD PAY RENT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DOES.  (I THINK SO, TOO).  

YOU CAN'T FIRE CHARLES WITH 4 "YES" VOTES.  CHARLES WAS NOT FIRED.  

BOB LEFT BEFORE A VOTE WAS TAKEN.
SYD LEFT AFTER THE VOTE, BUT BEFORE THE END OF THE MEETING.
CHARLES HAD LEFT THE BUILDING BEFORE THE MEETING ENDED.

DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS AS TO WHERE THIS "THE BOARD FIRED CHARLES"  CAME FROM, AND PUT THE BLAME FOR THIS MESS WHERE IT TRULY BELONGS. 

FOR MONTHS, EVERYTHING IN CLOSED SESSIONS HAS BEEN IMMEDIATELY LEAKED TO CHARLES.  AGAIN…PUT THE BLAME FOR THIS MESS ON WHOMEVER LEAKED CLOSED-SESSION INFORMATION.  ALL THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED HAD WE BEEN ALLOWED TO WORK IT OUT IN A SENSIBLE, ORDERLY FASHION.   THIS WAS NOT "WHISTLE-BLOWING" AND DOES NOT DESERVE "GRATITUDE" FROM THE COMMUNITY.  THIS WAS MEAN-SPIRITED, SELF-SERVING AND HAS TORN A COMMUNITY APART.

SHAME ON THE LEAKER AND SHAME ON US ALL.

Jessie on Gin letter: Occupy has always paid rent. From very beginning we paid money.
 Bob B said we should pay rent. Gin might not have heard it. People are not getting the 
idea that we are paying. We have paid through Aug.  We have been paying. It is about 
Occupy that this firing is happening.   Linda will listen to Syd’s  tape of meeting this 
week.
Long discussion of the RCSC ‘firing’ continued with people puzzled about details and
awaiting the RCSC board meeting on Friday, 9/25  at 1PM

Agnes: Letter report from Charter meeting yesterday.
Dan,
    Some after thought about the surprise announcement by Ellen that we
don't need money for an audit, but that quoting John Pinches, we
could have access to public records in the County Office of the
Assessor. First, Could you verify the facts?
Second, I can't say who else besides myself would drive to Ukiah each week
from the coast to look through documents.
Third, Will volunteers need to be computer nerds to do this?
fourth, will there be any compensation for mileage driving from the coast
to Ukiah for volunteers? Some of whom need to work part time.

Fifth, Will Suasan Ranochak train volunteers multiple times?
Will Jed get paid for training us if he is willing to give up a work day
at his business/farm?

Richard: Occupy forums. Films, workshops, etc. To educate and fill loss of Alliance of 
Democracy presentations that used to be at Town Hall. 
HOward: Occupy should present  a forum  for local nonprofit  board directors to  
fill  them in on fiduciary responsibility for non profits.  Richard made a motion
to have a forum committee. Motion died from lack of a second.  Sheila said this should
come under the publicity committee we already have.

Sheila:  got a phone call that said that the board of Footlighters approved
 the presenting of the building to MCTV in 2006. Seven board members voted/approved
giving the building to MCTV. Old board members need  to come forward. 
Jessie: says she has standing.  Others were telling lies and don’t want to have
anything to do with Footlighters.  

Richard: We should send to the Grand Jury about this matter. (Handed out forms .)

Irene:  There’s an event in Mendocino that will have tables for nonprofits.  Sheila and 
Agnes want to go there.  Richard will find out details and get application form.
JESSIE: Suggest we have a second year party for Occupy. She summed up the need to
prioritize so as not to get too scattered.   People need to work on vital projects.
4:PM Meeting concluded:

Had a birthday party for brother Daniel. He is 48 years old.  Ice cream, pie, cookies 
and more.
Next Meeting: Saturday October 5, 2 PM at Senior Center.
