Corrections to minutes.
2.a. Robin Sunbeam and Ellen Rosser were part of the delegation
meeting with Marty Lombardi and Shari Shapmire. Mary Lombardi
offered to be a resource for us, in other words, to look over any
proposal we draw up. He will not be available to be part of the
public bank, however. Shari seemed to think that we, Occupy, wanted
to start a public bank. Of course only public officials, like Shari,
can start and run a public bank. We can use her information, however,
to draw up a proposal indicating how county moneys could be used
differently to fund a county public bank. For example, money for
school projects may sit for two or three years before being used.
That money could be utilized by a public bank as long as it was
available when the school needed it. The County Retirement Fund, of
which Shari is chairperson, could be another resource. John
Saciewicz is on on the board and might have some ideas.
