Beautifully said Ann!
> I cringe every time I hear about cases of child neglect and child abuse, and agree that the world population is out of control. This small planet can barely feed, house, provide water and sanitation for the billions here now, and when people reproduce they should be ready to care for and support their offspring. Too many kids are having kids before they realize what they are committing to, and in cases of incest, rape, genetic problems or just lack of desire to have children, safe abortion in a medical setting is crucial for a civilized society. I support the right to choose when to have a family. Ann

Humans do not have the right to overbreed like cockroaches and use up all the planet's resources and habitats. How about the two billion humans who don't have access to potable water or enough to eat. And where do these figures come from that half of the women who have abortions are pressured into them by boyfriends, parents or others. How about all the women who are forced to bear the children of their rapists or abusive family members like their fathers?

My hero would be one who defended the rights of the most helpless of humans, the babies who aren't seen and aren't heard and therefore who aren't protected by those who claim to want to help the defenseless. The basic character and appearance of a person are determined at the moment of conception when the DNA of that unique human being is created. Does that person have no rights? And what about the rights of the 50% of the women who have abortions who are pressured into having it by boyfriends or parents or others? Have they no rights? And what about the 20% of the women who have abortions who suffer from PTSD because of having an abortion? And what about the thousand or so teenagers and women who commit suicide every year because of stress and grief of having an abortion?
