Dear Friends,

The pattern of lies and coverups about the dangers from Fukushima Daiichi
continue. Authorities seek to reassure us about health consequences, amount
of leakage, etc. The first article, widely republished, states that there
have been no ill health effects, despite the numerous reports of illness
from Japan. The second article documents increased thyroid cancers among
children in the region- the article states that we can't be sure they are
due to radiation, because it took 5 years, not 2 years, for cancers to
appear after Chernobyl! Go figure.

The next three items document ongoing release of radiation and its probable
consequences. Japan is not dealing adequately with the situation, which
will have more and more impact on the US West Coast. Please continue to
send out this petition, and sponsor it to your facebook, twitter, etc
websites.
