[Occupymendocino] Do we really need another war? This time with Iraq.

Hey Folks,
It was B.S. in 2003 and it's B.S. now. Haven't we learned anything from "Nation Building" in Iraq & Afghanistan? The definition of immaturity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Who benefits from war besides "defense" contractors? Remember, those wars were off the books. They weren't even in Bushes' budgets. End of rant.
Regards, Mark

I am writing to urge you to publicly express support for a reinvigorated diplomatic effort with Iran’s new president.
Diplomacy is the best option for resolving tensions with Iran. The election of Hassan Rouhani is the best opportunity we’ve had in years to engage in smart, pragmatic negotiations that will be agreeable to both sides. Provocative actions like passing additional sanctions and threatening military action could jeopardize this fragile opportunity. We need to test the waters with Rouhani, and the Senate should support that effort.
I encourage you to express your support for renewed diplomacy with Iran and avoid any provocative actions that could undermine that effort. Please respond to let me know what action you will take.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told a cheering audience on Tuesday that he would introduce a resolution to authorize force against Iran if this complex issue doesn’t get resolved by the fall. Getting ready for war just two months into the new Iranian president’s term reveals a complete lack of interest in a diplomatic solution. And an apparent lack of interest in reality. Graham actually said, "My goal is to avoid war, and the best way to avoid war is to let the Iranians know they're going to face one and lose.”
If we’re going to rein in hawks like Graham who would push us towards war, we need other senators to push back.
Take action below to tell your senators to speak out publicly for reinvigorated diplomacy with Iran.
