For Occupiers interested in the Fighting Foreclosure Committee- there is
work needed to inform supervisors about the Laws in the SB 900 which went
into effect January 1, 2013. An Occupy member , threatened with
foreclosure is willing to go to the Recorder's office with his papers and
the relevant law in S.B. 900. Go to C.J.s website www.hofj.org and search
the state by state column for SB 900. you can send it to yourself or any
Supervisor. TheFighting Foreclosure subcommittee needs to meet Saturday at
1-2:30 at the Library Community room. If you can make it please respond to

Occupy Mendocino,
I just listened for an hour Friday and gave a report of our
presentation to the B.O.S. . Then Suzanne of Occupy LA
reported that their
committee goes to the B.O. S. regularly pushing for implementation
of the Homeowners Bill of Rights which they talked about to the
Supervisors . SB 900 law is structured more definitively. ( 0ne of
five laws) says the bank has to have a real person's signature,
take in the documents with MERS stamped on it.
Jed, Please go to www.hofj.org to see this report:SB900 Overview. On
Jan.15 C.J. will be broadcasting "Foreclosure Defense".
Also the state has a million dollar grant through the Dept of
Justice to implement SB 900.
Another thing-if you've had a foreclosure from 2008-2011 the Attorney
General National Mortgage Settlement has a phone # 866.430-8358 where you
can file your claim before 1/18/13. They give you a claim number with
which you use , then you can go to a website and fill
out the form.send it by mail or email by Jan. 18
Cheers,
Agnes
