QUICK REMINDER!
RADIOACTIVE SILVERWARE? ZIPPERS?
PREVENT RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS FROM ENTERING THE CONSUMER MARKETPLACE:
TELL DOE THAT "RECYCLING" OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
DEADLINE IS MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11

AND JOIN THE NO NUKES CONTINGENT AT THE FEBRUARY 17 CLIMATE/KEYSTONE PIPELINE RALLY AT WHITE HOUSE

February 6, 2013

Dear Friends,

We apologize for our long absence; we'll have more next week.

In the meantime, this is a quick reminder that Monday, February 11 is the comment deadline to object to the Department of Energy's proposal to allow radioactive materials from nuclear weapons plants to enter the consumer recycling stream and thus into the general marketplace.

Act here to tell DOE that "recycling" of radioactive materials is simply unacceptable! Thousands already have acted, your voice is needed too!

If you missed our December 21 Alert on this and would like more background information, you can find it here.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Look for the No Nukes contingent at the February 17 climate/Keystone Pipeline rally at the White House, sponsored by 350.org, Friends of the Earth, and other groups. It's promising to be one of the largest climate rallies in history, and we're hoping for a sizable No Nukes presence. Look for the banners--we'll see you there!
Thanks for all you do,
