Hi 99%ers,
At our General Assembly Meeting today we decided to be part of the Noyo Food Forest Earth Day Event on Sat. 4/27. This is a good opportunity to meet and educate people about Occupy Mendocino and our many issues. The lineup for helping at our booth is below. Please consider stopping in for any amount of time to join us. If you can grab a time slot below, let us know. See guide lines from Noyo Food Forest, below. Thank you. Richard, for the OM Earth Day Team

P.S. Our GA meetings are on the first and 3rd Sat of the month. We really welcome having you come and share your ideas and issues with us. Phone 937-0334 for exact location.

>
> Greetings Earth Day Participants and Sponsors!
>
> Earth Day is almost here. We are very grateful for your contribution to help make this event happen. This event will also be a great way for your business to connect with the community and we are working hard to make it so. This orientation will assist you in getting set up for Saturday.
> Please enter the event through the main garden entrance off of Dana Street. This area is for loading and unloading only, and no cars are allowed on the field or garden grounds except those specifically required due to the wet ground. Wheelbarrows and volunteers will be available to assist you in moving your items to your table site. Your table will be marked with your business or organization’s name. After unloading, please move your car to the Timberwolf Stadium parking lot for the duration of the event. Please carpool if possible, as parking around the school is limited.
> You are responsible for providing all infrastructure with the exception of a 6’ or 8’ table which we provide. All chairs, canopies, table coverings, etc will be your responsibility. Please plan for breezy conditions when bringing pamphlets or flyers. Electrical only available if pre-arranged! A limited amount of electrical connections are available in only specific locations in the garden. If you need electricity, this will determine your table location before all other factors or requests.
> Please remember our Event Policies; (1) No political campaigning or petitioning allowed (this is a required of our non-profit tax status), (2) Please use Earth-friendly disposables whenever possible and (3) There is no selling at this event unless you are a pre-arranged sponsor (agreed to donate a portion of your proceeds to the Event). This Event is our primary fund raiser, and proceeds help keep the Gardens open for all of us to enjoy.
>
> ( THEY GAVE US PERMISSION TO SELL OUR THINGS. rk)
>
> Sponsors may drop off banners at the Noyo Food Forest office (next to the Learning Garden at 300 Dana Street) any time prior to Thursday, April 25th at 5:00P. We will hang the banners at the main gate on Friday.
>
> ( THEY SAID THEY COULD LOCATE A PLACE WITH A FENCE BEHIND TO DISPLAY OUR BANNER. RK_
> Set up will begin at 8:00A on Saturday, April 27th and will end at 11:00A. Please have your vehicles moved from the gate area and parked prior to 11:00A. We highly recommend you come early, set up and then relax in the garden until the start of the festival at noon. Again, due to the wet ground, no vehicles will be allowed on the field and garden grounds except those pre-arranged as a part of your setup.
> The event opens at noon sharp with an opening circle in front of the stage. Please join us in this tradition, which will only take a few minutes.
> The event ends at 5:00P. Please do not break down your booth or display prior to that time. Volunteers will assist you in transporting your items back to the main entrance for pick up.
> ( I DIDN'T HEAR THAT WE COULDN'T DEPART EARLY...RK)
> Do’s and Don’ts:
> Do have a great time! Educate the community about your business or organization. Sign up volunteers or have your newsletter signup sheet on hand. Promote your products and your upcoming events. Inspire, engage, inform and interact! Keep it positive.
> There is no smoking of any kind allowed on the festival grounds or anywhere on school premises. Please limit tobacco smoking to the sidewalk along Dana Street.
> Don’t fundraise for your organization. Don’t campaign for political candidates or issues. Don’t bring any drugs or alcohol. Don’t engage in negativity.
