Dear Agnes,

Thank you for urging Congress to protect state marijuana reform laws from
federal interference. Now we need to reach out to as many people as we can
to grow this movement and win.

Want to do even more? Encourage your friends and family to join you by
forwarding them the message below.

Sincerely,

Bill Piper

----FORWARD THE MESSAGE BELOW----

Hey,

Members of Congress just introduced a new bill that would protect state
marijuana reform laws from federal interference.

The bill would ensure that the federal government won't arrest law-abiding
citizens in states that have decided to reform their marijuana laws.

We still don't know how the federal government will respond to the states'
marijuana legalization laws. But we do know that federal prosecutors and
police agents have waged an unprecedented war in medical marijuana states.
That's why this bill is so important -- it would protect law-abiding
people following their state's marijuana law from harassment by the
federal government!

More than half of all Americans support legalizing marijuana. And even
those who don't support legalization still believe that police should not
focus on marijuana and that the federal government should allow states to
set their own marijuana policies.

We've made so much progress in winning majority support for marijuana law
reform. But members of Congress need pressure from us to do the right
thing.

We've reached a watershed moment and I need your help to take the next
step. Write your representative and urge him or her to protect state
marijuana reform laws from federal interference now!
