[Occupymendocino] Targetting Iran

Hello all you coasties,
        I learned from David Barsamian's talk on Free Speech  TV that that there are 3  US Aircraft Carriers positioned off the coast of Iran in the Persian Gulf. The same rhetoric used before the invasion of Iraq, he said, is being used to demonize Iran. The targetting of Iran  by this or the next administration would be an impeachable offense and a violation of the Neuremberg Principle, now part of the U.S.Constitution, a treaty approved by Congress and is part  of the U.S. Army Field Manual of  July 18, 1956 in   section 511. 
     It states what constitutes (a) Crimes against peace, (i.) planning, preparation, initiation or waging a war of agression in violation of international treaties, agreements and assurances.

I urge you to 1) write to the president and Congress, 
and 2( urge them  to withdraw the three aircraft carriers from the Persian Gulf. Stop gunboat diplomacy. Iran is a signatory to the Non-proliferation Treaty.  

3. On International Peace Day in Mendocino at the Gallery Bookshop there will be a poetry reading. This would be a good opportunity for signs to inform the public where the press does not. Please come.
