Ballot Recommendations on Propositions from 18 Organizations- Left, Right & Center
Conservative and liberal organizations take opposite positions on the 11 ballot propositions in the upcoming election. The recommendations of 18 leading groups, including the Democratic, Republican, Libertarian, Peace & Freedom and Green parties, labor unions, Sierra Club, League of Women Voters, Farm Bureau and Chamber of Commerce, can be viewed at the website http://ElectionInfo.org/ and on the attached chart below.
In summary, the liberal/progressive groups are almost unanimous in recommending Yes on Propositions 30, 34, 36, 37, 39 & 40. They recommend No votes on 31, 32, 33, & 38. Only on Prop 35, Longer prison sentences and larger fines for committing human trafficking crimes, are leftish orgs split.
This ballot recommendation chart was compiled by Caspar's Jan Boyd and produced by the Mendocino Coast Alliance for Democracy. It is available on the website http://www.ElectionInfo.org courtesy of web designer Shan Rocciardi, and will be updated as additional ballot recommendations are received. Send feedback to tw at mcn.org, and please pass this email on to others who might appreciate knowing what their favorite organizations recommend.
