The following notes were recorded at the mtg. by Daniel  &
transcribed by Sheila Dawn.
Facilitator: Claire
Agnes gave a report on her success in
moving forward with plans for a ForeclosureTown Hall. (FTH) They
included contact with Hospitality House, Safe Passages,Alliance
for Democracy and the SeniorCenter. Options for
location included the Evergreen Methodist Church  (360 N. Corry) or St
Michael's Episcopal Church.--The former, Evergreen Methodist, was later chosen
as the best site. Agnes suggested  donating 1/2 of the proceeds from
donations to go to C.J. Holmes expenses.  She spoke about getting informed
on nationwide strategies regarding foreclosures through teleconferencing with
Maestro Conference  and said the link was posted on the OM
list serve.
Publicity:Agnes put a letter about FTH in
two local papers. A third paper published her letter the following week due to
computer complications. She also contacted John Sackowizc of KZYX notifying him
that C.J. Holmes would be available for an interview when she came to town for
the FTH meeting.

C.J. put an article in the paper (Press Democrat?) about the Santa Rosa FTH.

Sheila contacted by Email the City Council & the Bd. of Supervisors asking
them to express an interest in attending a Ft. Bragg FTH.  She also spoke
to Charles Wood of Transition Towns who committed to attend and put the notice
of a future mtg. on the TT Email.

Mark said he had not been able to contact D. Gjerde by phone as of the mtg. date.
A new person--Peter White, a real estate agent
currently dealing with foreclosure--responded to our flyers and came to the
meeting to lend support for the FTH. A long discussion about setting a date for
the FTH ensued. Some felt we needed more response of interest from the Bd. of
Supervisors, the City Council Members and the general public to proceed.
Amanda & Agnes felt that people couldn't
commit without a firm date to plan around. It was agreed that a commitment from
one official from the BOS & the City Council would be sufficient.

    Howard suggested that
Agnes write a concise set of points to educate the group on the sequence of how
the County could take over the foreclosure process from the banks so that OM
could be better at enlisting the interest of others.
Another discussion took place about the best
date regarding the upcoming holiday season.
A motion was made by Amanda to set the
date for Dec 1st. The motion filed in a 4-4 vote. Another motion was made by
Richard to set up a committee to set the final date. That motion passed
unanimously. Committee members: Agnes, Tommy, Richard & Sheila.
Agnes expressed interest in keeping up the
pressure on the BOS by attending their next mtg. and advocating the FTH during
Public Comment time.
     Technical :
    Sheila reported that the
second video of the Street Fair had been completed and was being shown the
Sunday before the election and the Wednes. after. It will be shown on MCTV(Channel
3) at unscheduled times—also at mendocoasttv.org under video on demand.
     Richard noted he had
put a link to the videos on Facebook. He also put some video footage from MTV(
located in the old Daly building).
     As no one volunteered
to be facilitator for the next meeting, we will decide that person on Nov 17th,
the next meeting—Sat. 2 to4 P.M. Please bring topics to add to the agenda.
A report on the FTH will
be made at that time.
  The group held hands and
observed a moment of silence in meditation of the passing of Miles Everett who
encouraged the group to affiliate with MCTV to promote our activities to a
wider audience. Thank You, Miles.
                                                   Respectfully,
                                                    Sheila Dawn
Addendum:
  It was decided by a
majority of the FTH committee to hold the ForeclosureTown Hall
on Friday, Nov. 16th at the EvergreenMethodistChurch.(
Location above) Sheila had received an Email from Kendall Smith that she would
attend once the date was set. Time: 6 P.M.

Sheila contacted Elizabeth at MCTV to get
the event filmed. Since the City Council has a conflict that evening, having
access to the content of the meeting was felt to be essential. Agnes agreed to front
the fee of $150. if needed. A vote would be taken at the next mtg. to reimburse
her from funds collected through our Thanksgiving donation drive. She will be present at that meeting as her previous commitment has
changed.
