does anyone have history of Bea Erikson who's determined activism work
created the Senior Center in Fort Bragg?

I think it would behoove the current SC board to learn the history of the
facility and agency which they currently oversee and to perhaps better
understand that their responsibility /must/ be non-partisan and based in
service to the many not the few; the less able not the well-heeled and that
it's not a country club but a community center....

I do find myself insulted and offended by the (purported) behaviors of this
board and would like to help them have a consciousness shift.

Probably we will find that a majority of present day seniors who use the SC
are not progressive or liberal or even thoughtful??  If so, we need to be
aware of that reality.

Bea and Oscar Erikson (sp?) were wonderful people and worked tirelessly to
make things better for the many.  Let's try to help honor their memory and
intentions.
