Help Us Send Water Bottles to the Protesters at the RNC & DNC
Summer's not quite over - and neither are the protests.
Occupy groups are preparing for the Republican and Democratic National Conventions taking place in southern cities of Tampa and Charlotte in the next few weeks. In these dog days of summer, we want to be prepared for any attempts to stifle dissent, including limiting access to drinking water like we saw at the Occupy National Gathering last month.
Occupy Supply was able to provide those protesters in Philadelphia our BPA-free collapsible water bottles, and now we want to do it again for the protesters at the DNC and RNC.
Here’s how you can help:
BUY a water bottle from the Occupy Supply Store and donate one to protesters on your behalf.
-OR-
DONATE $6 or more to send bottles directly to Tampa and Charlotte.
We know most mainstream coverage will focus on the highly-choreographed pageants taking place inside the arenas. But outside there will be important demonstrations challenging the status quo. Firedoglake’s Kevin Gosztola will be at the Democratic National Convention covering these protests, reporting on any attempts to infringe on the protesters First Amendment rights. (Kevin willl be at Ft. Meade covering Bradley Manning’s trial as he has since Day 1 while the RNC takes place).
And where there’s peaceful protest, often there is exaggerated police response. We saw it at the conventions in Minneapolis in 20081 and New York in 20042 and more recently at Occupy protests at NATO, May Day and the National Gathering.
Occupy Supply wants to help protesters stay safe and healthy by ensuring they have easy access to water. Help us keep them hydrated by buying or donating a water bottle today.

Thank you so much for your continued support - with your help we will make sure this movement isn’t silenced.
In solidarity,
