To the Editor, Advocate-Beacon:

Hospitality?

Occupy Mendocino has concern for the homeless.  Feeling the need to be better informed as to the situation in our communities, we inquired of Hospitality House, noting that we would like to make a neighborly visit to inform ourselves as to what we could do to help the homeless.  

We learned that their Board of Directors was having a regular meeting on Wednesday, August 8.   A few of us planned to attend as observers.  On arrival at Hospitality House a note on the door said the meeting had been relocated.   At the new location we found the Board assembled, but we were forbidden to enter, were escorted out, the door closed and locked.

This Saturday at the regular Occupy General Assembly we will consider the homeless situation.  All are welcome –– 2 p.m. Redwood Coast Senior Center, 490 North Harold Street, Fort Bragg.

Mark:  I believe you are facilitator Saturday?  Could this be put on the agenda, please?

Linda:  Am I correct you have a list of Hospitality House Board members?  If you'd  like copies made for the General Assembly, e-mail the list to me and I'll make copies.
