NASA is excited about
the role 3D printing will have in its mission work.
For years, NASA
researchers have been developing additive manufacturing
technologies that
can help astronauts quickly build custom parts and tools
in space. It is
also believed that 3D printing could one day be utilized to
build habitats
on other planets.
Many of the 3D printing technologies NASA has
developed are available to
the public through NASA's Technology Transfer
