== CAD is Computer Aided Design ==
CAD lets you create and edit models. Most often it refers to drafting and
3D modeling. What can folks model with it? [1]
- Autos, ship building, aerospace
- Architectural design, prosthetics
- Landscape design, animation and special effects
- Creating designs for 3D printing

== Try it for free ==
Many companies offer a free introductory try out. We use Fusion 360. As of
this writing, Autodesk offers several different licensing options. As we
are not a commercial concern, the license is free. We've used it to make
simple replacement shower components and as complex as touch sensors, wheel
encoders and custom electronics cases.
