Hi there!
If youre receiving this email, chances are you have been to a talk weve
put
on possibly at Fort Bragg Library, Mendocino High School or similarly,
youve met us.  Well, were at it again!
The class is PARAMETRIC MODELING WITH FUSION 360 and introduces the
student to the concepts and practices of 3D modeling. CAD is a
foundational
STEM/STEAM skill. A mix of instructor lectures and labs teach students how
to find solutions collaboratively to achieve a design goal while learning
skills usable in the real world.

Target Audience: Anyone 14 or older with an interest in learning the
basics
of 3D solid modeling.

Students demonstrate competency by creating a series of 3D models from
specifications employing techniques learned in this course. 6-8 classroom
hours.

Desired student outcomes:

	* 

Gain an appreciation and ability to author original 3D models using 2D and
3D modeling techniques.
	* 

Learn collaboration skills on complex projects such as design,
improvement,
review and re-use.
	* 

Student acquires skills necessary to proceed to advanced topics such as:

	* 

Analytics
	* 

Assemblies
	* 

Sculpting
	* 

Animation
	* 

Computer Aided Manufacture:

	* 

3D printing: plastics, ‘wood’, ‘ceramic’ and ‘metal’
	* 

CNC Routing/Milling: e.g. wood, polymers, stone, soft metal
