"The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) is soliciting 
proposals to support conservation projects that enhance coastal 
ecosystems of the Gulf of Mexico and bolster priority fish and wildlife 
populations, while strengthening resilience within the coastal region.

The program seeks to build and maintain the resilience of the Gulf 
Coast’s ecosystems, living resources and communities by supporting 
critical gaps in conservation and catalyzing conservation solutions 
through strategic planning, innovation and technology that can be 
applied at a landscape scale. Specific priorities focus on strengthening 
coastal resilience; advancing conservation and management on private 
lands for wildlife and water quality; and conserving living resources by 
protecting and accelerating the recovery of key species dependent on the 
Gulf, including coastal birds, sea turtles, marine mammals, and oysters. 
Eligible applicants include non-profit 501(c) organizations, U.S. 
Federal government agencies, state government agencies, county and 
municipal governments, Indian tribes and educational institutions."

Act State Implementation Support Grant*

Funding amount: The maximum amount for the cooperative agreement is 
$1,000,000.

The EPA is announcing $1 million in a grant to provide support state 
implementation support related to CERCLA 128(a). The EPA anticipates 
award of one cooperative agreement to support state implementation for 
CERCLA 128(a) and other brownfields related issues. The purpose of this 
cooperative agreement is to fund research, training, and technical 
assistance to promote and stimulate information exchange among State 
officials managing solid, hazardous and brownfields response programs 
(response programs), and EPA officials to jointly resolve Comprehensive 
Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), 
Section 128(a) “co-implementor and co-regulator” issues, and identify 
emerging response program issues that are of interest to States.

"The mission of the Captain Planet Foundation is to give the next 
generation of environmental stewards an active understanding and love 
for the natural world in which they live. The Captain Planet Foundation 
primarily makes grants to U.S.-based schools and organizations with an 
annual operating budget of less than $3 million. Grants from the Captain 
Planet Foundation are intended to:

  * Provide hands-on environmental stewardship opportunities for youth;
  * Serve as a catalyst to getting environment-based education in schools;
  * Inspire youth and communities to participate in community service
    through environmental stewardship activities."

"We support small, grassroots, activist organizations with provocative 
direct-action agendas, working on multi-pronged campaigns to preserve 
and protect our environment. Your efforts should be quantifiable, with 
specific goals, objectives and action plans, and should include measures 
for evaluating success. We fund work that:

  * is action-oriented
  * builds public involvement and support
  * is strategic
  * focuses on root causes
  * accomplishes specific goals and objectives

We accept one proposal per group, per fiscal year (May 1st - April 30th)."

*5. Creativity Connects, National Endowment for the Arts*

"Creativity Connects is an initiative that shows how the arts contribute 
to the nation’s creative ecosystem, investigates how support systems for 
the arts are changing, explores how the arts can connect with other 
sectors that want and utilize creativity, and invests in innovative 
projects to spark new, collaborative ideas. A key component of 
Creativity Connects is a grant opportunity in the Art Works category 
that supports collaborative, mutually beneficial partnerships between 
the arts and non-arts sectors, specifically: Agriculture, Business and 
Economic Development, Science, Technology, Healthcare, Community, 
Education, Environment, Military, Transportation. Applicant Eligibility: 
Nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3), U.S. organizations; units of state or 
local government; or federally recognized tribal communities or tribes 
may apply."
